where does your donation go?
While we were founded in NYC and have many partners in the area, we work with community clinics all over the US. Due to changing needs, our list of current partners changes almost daily - far too often to keep this page updated. You can be certain that any organization that gets your donation is a 501c3 non-profit, and offers medical service and care free to the patients who need it most.
If you want more up-to-the-minute details on the clinics we're working with, just shoot us an email and ask.
We'll usually get back to you within 24 hours.
where are the donation collection boxes?
The box for your donations should be next to your reception desk or HR office.
It is cardboard box with the Flex Aid logo, but if you can't find it, ask someone from your HR department!
is this tax-deductible?
FSAs are already pre-tax, meaning you never paid taxes for this money in the first place. You should not claim this as a tax-deductible donation on your income taxes, otherwise you will be getting reimbursed for taxes you never paid... and the IRS doesn't like that!
what information does your fsa need?
All you need to do is hang on to your receipt in case it is requested. Your FSA provider will probably let you know they need to see proof you bought an eligible item at the drugstore. When they do, just send them a copy of the receipt and you will be good to go.
when should you donate?
We know most donations happen in December, but we accept and send donations any time of year. Keep in mind that if you want your purchases to go against the current year's FSA, they must be made by 12/31. (Some companies do allow for a grace period through March, so ask at work.)
